Questions are addressed in an interview, but here are some to assess engagement readiness.
Do you work on a task only basis?
Usually not at the start. I focus on strategic requests where insight, execution and continuity compounds towards success, with task based requests offered after 2-3 months of engagement. For exceptionally rare cases, a task-only scope may be considered.
How do you charge?
All engagements are billed monthly and paid upfront, with clients working directly with me, supported by an operations executive with no junior layers or external data exposure. Scope and outcomes are defined before work begins. This arrangement keeps the work consolidated, cohesive, private, and outcome-driven.
After the first month of onboarding and diagnosis, ongoing engagements move into quarterly blocks with monthly retainers to allow time for successful outcomes. Each engagement is tailored to the scope, risk, timeline, resource allocation and capital at stake with each current engagement ranging from HK$80,000 to HK$160,000 in monthly retainers. Rush and urgent cycles are accepted at an additional premium.

If unclear about scope, can we engage you on a pilot basis?
Yes. The initial discovery phase up to a month defines objectives, assesses fit, and produces a clear scope with proposal for next steps. If there is alignment, the full engagement proceeds.
Do you only work in English?
I advise and communicate in English only, but I have long-term engagements with non-english speaking investors through their trusted translators to deliver research, strategies and optics in other languages for multiple regions.
How do you handle projects with limited manpower?
With decades of experience leading and training teams, I pair my strategic oversight with the support of an operations executive and our evolving internal AI-driven platform. This allows us to handle complex work without large headcount, while keeping my knowledge IP and your sensitive data off the cloud and fully contained.
Do you work with ventures or only with investors?
Primarily with investors now after decades working with ventures. It keeps the perspective objective and protects decision quality. In select cases, Under certain cases, I will work directly with ventures at a founder-stakeholder level where there is significant capital at risk and a clear upside.
